All four AION models sit on GAC's GEP 2.0 platform and carry the Magazine Battery pack with its second-generation crash energy absorption structure. That means the safety story and the service story are the same across the range — what changes is footprint and range.
AION UT — the compact hatchback
The smallest and the easiest to park. Owl-inspired LED headlights, pixel graphic lights, a 14.6-inch central display with an 8.8-inch instrument, an ultra-large panoramic sunroof with an electric sunshade and fully flat-folding seats. GAC highlights superfast charging and best-in-class V-shaped side airbags. Published battery options are 44.0 or 60.0 kWh for 420–500 km CLTC.
AION Y — the square-rigged small SUV
4,535 × 1,870 × 1,650 mm on a 2,750 mm wheelbase, with a 0.278 cd drag coefficient that GAC calls out directly. Angel-Wing full LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof and flexible seating. Published range is 501–610 km CLTC. The upright body buys more usable rear space than the exterior length suggests.
AION V — the volume SUV
4,605 × 1,890 × 1,670 mm on a 2,775 mm wheelbase. GAC quotes up to 650 km CLTC, an industry-leading integrated heat pump, an all-in-one integrated electric drive, seven airbags and a five-star ENCAP and ANCAP body. The cabin runs ADiGO 5.0 on the Qualcomm SA8155P with four-zone voice, 100% soft-touch materials, eight-point massage front seats and a one-touch bed mode.
AION ES — the sedan
4,810 × 1,880 × 1,540 mm, 100 kW, published 55.4 or 60.0 kWh for 442–510 km CLTC. A closed front face, starship headlights and a connected tail light. Dual-zone automatic air conditioning with rear vents. The natural choice for ride-hailing and driver-pool fleets where boot space and running cost decide the order.
The question that actually decides it
- Where does the car sleep? Off-street parking with power makes any of the four work.
- What is the longest weekly trip? Size the range to that, not to the average day.
- Who drives it — owner, staff or passenger-facing? That sets the trim, not the badge.
- Is there a workshop within reach trained on high-voltage systems?
Share the route profile and the charging situation and we will name one model rather than four.
